AI-predicted IPL 2025 squad for RR ft. Glenn Phillips, Anshul Kamboj

Champions of the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Rajasthan Royals (RR) have come close to winning their second title but have failed to get their hands on the trophy once again. RR played the second qualifier last year but lost to the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The Royals have retained some key players from their IPL 2024 campaign such as skipper Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer, and Sandeep Sharma.

RR let go of Jos Buttler and will need to find a suitable opening partner for Jaiswal, who can provide firepower at the top. Moreover, they will also have to rebuild their bowling attack after letting key players go ahead of the upcoming auction.

In the build-up to the auction, Meta AI predicted its own squad for the Royals for the 2025 season.

Let us take a look at the AI-predicted squad for the IPL 2008 winners.

AI-predicted IPL 2025 squad for RR

Top Order - Yashasvi Jaiswal, Daryl Mitchell, Tim Seifert, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, and Harpreet Bhatia

Yashasvi Jaiswal was retained by RR ahead of the IPL 2025 auction. However, with Buttler not retained, they will need an ideal replacement at the top. According to Meta AI, RR will go after Daryl Mitchell, who can open the innings alongside Jaiswal.

Additionally, Meta AI also predicted that Tim Seifert will join the squad, who could be another option to partner Jaiswal at the top.

The AI tool also suggested that the Royals will go after young Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who showed a glimpse of his potential while playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders last year.

As per Meta AI, RR will also rope in left-handed batter Harpreet Bhatia to bring some variety to the squad.

Middle Order - Sanju Samson, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer, Baba Aparajith, Kartik Kakade, and Glenn Phillips

The Rajasthan Royals have retained their batting core with the likes of skipper Sanju Samson, Dhruv Jurel, and Shimron Hetmyer, who will continue to remain key assets for the side in IPL 2025.

Meta AI suggests that they will bring in Glenn Phillips, who can also strengthen the middle order and lower middle order with his batting abilities.

Moreover, the AI tool also predicted that the Royals will include domestic talents such as Baba Aparajith and Kartik Kakade in their IPL 2025 squad.

All-rounders - Riyan Parag, Tanush Kotian, and Akeal Hosein

Riyan Parag had a breakthrough IPL 2024 season, scoring 573 runs. His retention by RR was a no-brainer. He can also contribute with his part-time off-spin when needed.

Meta AI also predicted that RR will buy back the 26-year-old bowling all-rounder Tanush Kotian. Further, the AI tool also suggested that they will add West Indian bowling all-rounder Akeal Hosein, who can also open the bowling with the new ball.

Bowlers - Sandeep Sharma, Lungi Ngidi, Adam Zampa, Blessing Muzarabani, Kuldeep Sen, Anshul Kamboj, Mohit Jangra, and Saurabh Kumar

The Royals retained Sandeep Sharma, who will be their lead Indian pacer. He is among the most successful IPL bowlers and has the ability to bowl in the powerplay and at the death as well.

Meta AI has predicted that RR will buy back pacer Kuldeep Sen and leg-spinner Adam Zampa. Zampa, with his experience and knack for picking wickets, could be their lead spinner.

The AI tool has also predicted that the Royals will bring in South African Lungi Ngidi as their main overseas fast bowler. Additionally, Zimbabwe pacer Blessing Muzarabani is the other overseas fast bowler predicted by Meta AI to join the squad.

Another interesting buy predicted by the tool is that of Anshul Kamboj, who recently made headlines for his miraculous effort of picking up ten wickets in an innings.

Mohit Jangra and Saurabh Kumar are the other two bowlers who will be a part of the RR squad as per Meta AI.
