Airport diaries with Rohit Sharma
Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma doesn't need any introduction to the cricketing world. Popularly known as the hitman, the Mumbaikar is the only batsman in the international arena to have registered two double centuries in ODIs. While India may have lost the fourth ODI, that hasn't stopped the prolific stroke maker from entertaining the cricket fans. Rohit was seen assuming a new role in a video and having a chat with some of his teammates.
Rohit seemed to be in a jovial mood as members from both the teams were waiting for their flight to Vizag in the Birsa Munda international airport in Ranchi. The batsman took his time off to have a chat with his teammates and asked them about their means of killing time while on a flight. While quite a few players mentioned that they opted to sleep while traveling, batting coach Sanjay Bangar seemed to give a 'professional' answer to Rohit.

The crowd couldn't take their eyes off their favorite cricketers as everyone had their cell phones out clicking pictures and recording videos.
Rohit went up to some of the Indian players in a search for their answers and got some pretty interesting replies. Umesh Yadav was the first man that he walked up to and when he was asked about his means of spending time on a flight, the pacer mentioned that he loved to sleep. The right-armer said he preferred sleeping because of the large amounts of time spent playing when on tour.
The batting coach, Sanjay Bangar was next on Rohit's list and the 44-year old came up with a matured answer. Bangar said that apart from reading newspapers and magazines, he spends his time by analyzing the players' performances in the previous game. He added that since there is a very short time between any two games these days, he used the traveling time to prepare for the future games.
Rohit proved to be cheeky when addressing Ajinkya Rahane as a "shy guy of the team." He didn't stop there and went on to claim that Rahane was fond of coffee and facetiously asked him if he was having his third cup of coffee. Rahane too mentioned that he preferred sleeping and at times reading books. The right-hander said he was currently reading Mrutyunjay, a Marathi novel.

Next to follow was Amit Mishra, who said that apart from sleeping and listening to music, he used the travel time to get some batting tips from the batting coach. The players had a laugh at it while Rohit caught up Martin Guptill who was having a chat with Jasprit Bumrah. Guptill said that he was enjoying his visit to India so far and jested that he hated Bumrah's company.
The final ODI will be played in Vizag on Saturday and with the series tied at 2-2, fans are hopeful of an extravagant finish to the series.
