Alex Hales records 3rd highest score in World Twenty20; becomes 1st Englishman to score a T20I ton
In the World Twenty20 group match against Sri Lanka, England opener Alex Hales scored a brilliant unbeaten 116 off just 64 balls with 11 fours and 6 sixes, which helped England to chase down 190 and register their first victory of the Super 10 group matches.
Hales is the first English cricketer to score a hundred in World Twenty20 and also the 11th cricketer to score a century in T20 internationals.
His score of 116 not out is the third highest individual score in World Twenty20 and also the joint sixth highest individual score in T20Is along with Brendon McCullum of New Zealand.
