Amit Mishra will be the star performer of the Test series, says Suresh Raina
With a day to go for the Test series to start, Indian batsman Suresh Raina is confident about the outcome of the matches. He feels that India is going to defeat West Indies comfortably and predicted that Amit Mishra is likely to be the standout player for India. The leg-spinner toured the West Indies back in 2011, but never cemented his place in the Indian squad after that.
Suresh Raina, on the other hand, was part of both the squads which was won the Test Series in the Caribbean back in 2006 and 2011 respectively.

As per the reports of India Today, Suresh Raina said, "India will win by a big margin, and Amit Mishra will be the star performer in this series. His ability to spin the ball on those pitches will make him most difficult for West Indies batsmen to handle in this series."
The southpaw from Uttar Pradesh feels that Anil Kumble’s advice is would be vital for Mishra, both being leg spinners, and he foretells that the pitches in the Caribbean would help batting. “The pitches will be good for batting, slightly slowish. Mishra knows how to use the conditions and be patient. I have a feeling this will be his series even though the other two spinners, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja have also bowled well in the side games. Anil (Kumble) bhai's inputs will give him ideas as well as confidence and that's what a leg spinner needs," said Raina.

Suresh Raina is not ruling the possibility of a whitewash either. He admits that Virat Kohli’s brigade may win the Series with 3-0 or even a 4-0 margin. Raina admitted, "India will win comfortably, 3-0 or maybe even 4-0. I went to Bangalore for a day and the camp looked full of intent and the team looked so positive, Anil bhai and Virat Kohli will surely make this a memorable tour for India."
The West Indies players cannot withstand the fierce Indian batting and bowling line-up, admits Raina. India is on the verge of winning a Test series in the West Indies for a third consecutive time. This is the first tour India would be playing under the charge of the newly appointed coach Anil Kumble. The first of the four Tests begins on 21st July, Thursday in Antigua.
