An IPL match was fixed in 2012: Delhi Police

New Delhi -  An IPL match played between Delhi Daredevils and Rajasthan Royals in 2012 may have been fixed, the police said today.

During the interrogation of Rajasthan Royals player Ajit Chandila, it came to light that the last two overs of that 2012 match were spot-fixed.

A police officer said, “The match was played in Delhi. Delhi Daredevils scored 152 runs. While chasing the score, Rajasthan Royals lost the match by just 1 run. Chandila said the last two overs of this match were fixed,” .

“We have collected the footage of this match and have initiated a probe,” .

Chandila was arrested with his teammates S. Sreesanth and Ankeet Chavan along with 11 bookies for spot-fixing an IPL match played April 15. Police said three matches were fixed. They did not rule out spot-fixing of other IPL matches.
