Andrew Flintoff and Adam Gilchrist engage in friendly Twitter banter; Kevin Pietersen trolled

Andrew Flintoff and Kevin Pietersen were not the best of friends after split over Peter Moores’ tenture

Former Ashes rivals Andrew Flintoff and Adam Gilchrist were seen pulling down each other’s leg over a friendly Twitter conversation. The chat that started off with Flintoff having a dig at Gilchrist being signed up as a commentator for the upcoming T20 Big Bash League. The all-rounder, who made a cricketing comeback earlier this year has been drafted in by Brisbane Heat for this year’s tournament while Pieterson, on an international exile, is signed up by Melbourne Stars.

At one point, Flintoff started targetting Kevin Pietersen with his tweets based on the bullying claims the cricketer made in his autobiography. Even though Flintoff and Pietersen were not the best of friends in the England dressing room after split in opinion over Peter Moores’ tenure as head coach, these Twitter trolls look more like friendly banter. In the end, the South African born eventually resigned from captaincy. With these two expected to face each other Down Under, it has to be seen where this relationship goes.
