Anil Kumble lays down his laws for Team India: Fine of $50 for late comers

Kumble is looking to impose a set of disciplinary rules in the Indian cricket team

Newly appointed coach Anil Kumble seems to be quite strict about the discipline of his boys. As per the reports of the Indian Express, Kumble has set a rule, according to which the players will be imposed a fine of 50$ if they are late. The Indian Cricket team are currently in the Caribbean islands for a four-match Test series.

A three-day warm-up match will be played between India and West Indies Cricket Board President’s XI beginning on July 14. On Tuesday though, Indian players were seen having a great time exploring the beautiful island of Nevis. Some of the players even posted pictures on twitter.

As far as the Test rankings are concerned, India would climb to the summit if they manage to pull off a whitewash in the upcoming series, which will set their tone for the rest of the season. Later this season, India will play as many as 13 Tests at home against powerhouses such as England, New Zealand, and Australia.

The Indian team was seen enjoying the break, after the two-day warm-up match against West Indies Cricket Board XI. Previously, the turmoil over the decision of coach selection had been a major distraction for the Indian Cricket Team.

Anil Kumble, during his playing days, toured West Indies and has witnessed some memorable feats.  Sharing his experience with the current players is going to help them a lot. India would be looking to script a third successive overseas Test series win in the West Indies. They were victorious during their visit to the Islands; they outclassed the visitors winning the three Test-match series 1-0.

India begins their tour on 21st July, at Antigua.
