Ankeet Chavan has confessed to his role in the spot-fixing in IPL, according to a report by Times Now news channel.
Chavan, who plays for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, is one of the three prime accused, and the 27-year-old has now seemingly confessed to the Delhi Police immediately after being confronted by them.
‘Yes, I did something wrong. Yes, I made a mistake,’ Chavan is reported to have said.
Sreesanth, Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila were dramatically arrested by the Delhi police on Thursday night on charges of spot-fixing in IPL matches. All three players were suspended by the BCCI until further notice.
The Delhi police have also claimed that they have the independent witnesses as well.
