Ashes 2017/18: Best Tweets, First Test, Day 1
The first day of the most-anticipated test series of the season saw England add up 196 runs for the loss of four wickets. After Cook's departure early on, Stoneman (53) and Vince (83) added up 125 runs for the second wicket before Australia pulled things back. The duo lost their wickets within a span of 18 runs and skipper Root followed suit as well. At the end of the day, Dawid Malan was batting on 28 and Moeen Ali on 13.
While Cummins bagged two wickets and Starc picked one, Nathan Lyon effected a brilliant run-out to send Vince packing.
Here's how Twitter reacted:
The Twitterattis weren't pleased with Tim Paine's wicketkeeping skills after he shelled an easy chance off Nathan Lyon's Bowling.
London Fire Brigade too, didn't miss a chance to praise Nathan Lyon's Fielding skills.
We all miss the old Australian Side.
Joe Root in Australia. I bet he'd want to change this record.
