"We've got some bloody good cricketers!" Australia skipper Tim Paine said after the tourists retained the Ashes by beating England by 185 runs in the fourth Test at Old Trafford on Sunday.
England's batsmen needed to survive the day to take the series to the final Test and the hosts showed plenty of resistance before eventually being undone by Australia's bowling attack.
In a tense final session Josh Hazlewood trapped Craig Overton lbw with 13.3 overs remaining to give Australia the win and ensured the Ashes will be retained.
It is the first time since 2001 Australia will take the urn home from a series played in England.
