Ashwin looking for a new challenge

Ashwin is looking forward to playing for a new team in the upcoming IPL season

With CSK and Rajasthan out of the IPL 2016, two new teams, Pune and Rajkot will be drafted with new players on December 15th. Ravi Ashwin, India’s star off-spinner is looking forward to a new challenge and says that it doesn’t matter for which franchise he plays.

The bidding for the two new teams was won by Intex and Sanjeev Goenka’s “New Rising”. Intex will be shelling out 10 crores for Rajkot and the latter will have to pay 16 crores for the Pune Franchise to BCCI.

With the player draft ahead in 2 days’ time, Ravichandran Ashwin, former CSK player was excited, and tweeted, “In three days’ time, Pune or Rajkot will be my new summer destination. Looking forward to a new beginning and more challenges”

Ashwin is looking forward to the 2016 season of the cash-rich league and looks forward to new challenges ahead of him, he said, “If I don't make it to both of these teams, I will go into the auction. Does not matter who picks me, all I need is new challenges. No stagnating.”

Goenka’s franchise will be given the first chance to bid for the players because they were the lowest bidders for the new team.

Ashwin, Dhoni, Raina and other star players will be lined up for auction soon and the two new teams will be drafted. There are many marquee players who played for Rajasthan and CSK before the suspension and thus, it will be exciting to see which players take which dugout this year.

CSK and RR will be allowed to participate after the 2 years of penalty. IPL 2016 starts off on April 9, 2016.
