Can this Indian team come back unbeaten?
Can this Indian team come back unbeaten?

India have an almost settled look to the team barring one or two form concerns, other than that, this team which was selected for the ODI series in Australia, will most probably the one which heads to the World Cup, barring a few spots which will depend upon form and fitness.

As the World Cup is fast approaching, teams are looking to set their team with the right combinations so as to be ready ahead of time in case of any unfavourable circumstances like injuries and so on.

India's Squad for the ODI series against Australia:

Virat Kohli (Captain), Rohit Sharma (vice-captain), KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu, Dinesh Karthik, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni (WK), Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Siraj, Khaleel Ahmed, Mohammed Shami

There are some records and milestones that can be achieved by the Indian players in this ODI series.

#5 Mohammed Shami approaching 100 wickets in ODIs

When Mohammed Shami first arrived at the world stage, he was viewed more as a white-ball bowler but soon transformed himself into one of the best pacers in the world in Test match cricket. His records in limited-overs cricket for India, particularly ODIs, have been very good but injury concerns made his presence in the coloured clothing little less than it should have.

Having made his debut way back in 2013, he has played only 52 ODIs for India. Given the number of ODIs that India usually plays, the appearances by Shami are few.

He recently made his return to the ODI format as the selectors want an experienced pacer to bolster the bowling attack and don't want to solely rely on Bhuvi and Bumrah

Shami requires six more wickets to complete 100 wickets in ODIs.
