Australia-West Indies Test series rescheduled

The 1st Test will now begin on the 3rd of June

There has been a minor change in the schedule made by the West Indies Cricket Board for the Test series that will be played between Australia and West Indies this year. The 1st Test between the teams will now commence on the 3rd of June and not on the 5th as it was supposed to be earlier.

It will be played in Dominica and the second Test will be played at Sabina Park in Jamaica from the 11th of June. The practice match will be played on the 27th of May which is just three days after the final of the IPL where several Australian stars will be featuring.

"We are fully aware that there are a number of fans planning to travel around and to the Caribbean for the Australia tour, and we want to explain to them that the change was absolutely necessary, due to a number of logistical challenges beyond our control," Roland Holder, the WICB cricket operations manager said.

Revised Tour itinerary:

May 27-29: Tour match, Vivian Richards Cricket Ground, Antigua

June 3-7: First Test, Windsor Park, Dominica

June 11-15: Second Test, Sabina Park, Jamaica
