In a gala night at Melbourne's Crown Casino, the 2019 Australian Cricket Awards were presented. Awarded by Cricket Australia and Australian Cricketers' Association, the event marked the attendance of all prominent male and female cricketers in the country.

Pat Cummins was the biggest winner in the ceremony as he took home the coveted Allan Border Medal. The prestigious award, named after one of Australia's iconic captains, is given to the best male cricketer in the season under consideration.

In 2018, Cummins picked 52 wickets from 14 matches across all formats. A bowling average of 22.09 and strike-rate of 42.7 reveals his potency in the year gone by. With the bat, he scored two useful half-centuries.

Cummins received 156 votes and finished ahead of Nathan Lyon by just six votes. The veteran off-spinner was named Test Player of the Year for his remarkable performances last season. It's worth noting that Steve Smith had won both top awards in 2018.

All-rounder Marcus Stoinis won the Male ODI Player of the Year award even as wicket-keeper batter Alyssa Healy clinched the female equivalent. The latter also took home the Female T20I Player of the Year award. The hard-hitting Glenn Maxwell was bestowed with the Male T20I Player of the Year award.

Alyssa Healy continued her unstoppable march by claiming the venerated Belinda Clark Award. The honour, named after the legendary Southern Stars skipper, goes to the best female cricketer of the season.

In 2018, Healy scored 329 runs in 6 ODIs at an average of 54.83 and plundered 578 runs in 17 T20Is at a strike-rate of 145.95. She was also instrumental in Australia winning the Women's World T20.

Will Pucovski was named Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year whereas Georgia Wareham won the Betty Wilson Young Cricketer of the Year award.

With his game-changing performances in the Sheffield Shield, wicket-keeper batsman Matthew Wade sealed the Male Domestic Player of the Year award. On the other hand, Heather Graham took home the Female Domestic Player of the Year award.

World Cup winner Dean Jones, Test legend Billy Murdoch and Southern Stars icon Cathryn Fitzpatrick were officially inducted into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame.

Moises Henriques became the inaugural recipient of the Community Champion award. He was recognised for his work in creating awareness regarding mental health issues.
