Video: Hilarious - Ball boy saves a boundary for West Indies
An over enthusiastic ball boy cost India and Suresh Raina 2 runs when he stopped the ball from reaching the boundary on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in the 38th over in the 4th ODI in the series between West Indies and India, when the home side were going nicely with Raina and Virat Kohli showing some prime form. West Indian fast bowler Jerome Taylor bowled a short-pitched delivery which was pulled away to the leg side by the Indian southpaw.
The ball seemed destined for the boundary when Andre Russell came racing to block the ball with his right leg. Despite the Caribbean all-rounder’s best efforts, the ball looked like it was going to the fence before the ball boy took matters into his own hands.
The umpires after consulting with each other decided to hand only 2 runs to Raina.
