BAN v SA, 1st Test: South Africa bundled out for 248

The World no. 1 Test team, South Africa were bowled out for 248 on the opening day of the first Test against Bangladesh at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.

Temba Bavuma was the top scorer with his patient 54 runs innings. It was all about Bangladesh after the tea. The visitors lost their last 9 wickets for just 112 runs.

The debutant and star of the recently concluded one-day international series, Mustazifur Rahman troubled the Proteas most as he cleared their middle order single-handedly in the afternoon session by scalping 4 wickets. Spinner Jubair Hossain picked 3 wickets in the end to finish the South Africa's innings.

Bangladesh came on to bat but only two overs were bowled as the umpire called stumps. The home team didn't lose any wicket and will resume on the second on 7 for no loss, trailing behind by 241 runs. Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes were on the crease with 1 and 5 runs respectively.
