Bangladesh reject chance to tour Pakistan
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has rejected a proposal for the Tigers to tour Pakistan this year due to concerns over security.
Bangladesh were invited to face Pakistan in two Twenty20 internationals after the ICC Champions Trophy in June.
Pakistan have been playing their home matches in the United Arab Emirates since a terrorist attack in Lahore eight years ago and the BCB are they will not be facing the Tigers on home soil this year.
BCB media and communications committee chairman Jalal Younus told the Dhaka Tribune: "We had a BCB security team visit Pakistan during the final of the PSL [Pakistan Super League} T20 last month.
"The reports were not satisfactory enough due to which we had to pull back. Even the ICC had a fact finding team visit the country and did not see any development as of yet."
