BCCI owe Yuvraj Singh ?3 crore in compensation since 2016
What's the story?
Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, currently out of the national ODI side that will face New Zealand in the coming weeks, is currently locked in a battle of wages with the BCCI.
Now, the cricketer's mother Shabnam Singh has also made attempts to secure her son's dues, contacting BCCI officials on his behalf.
In case you didn't know
Yuvraj has been out of action in ODIs since July of this year, when India took on the West Indies, after failing the yo-yo test, a fitness test that was made mandatory under the captaincy of Virat Kohli.

The details
Part of India's 2016 ICC World Twenty20 side, Yuvraj got injured while playing for the hosts, and as a result was unable to play for the IPL season that followed after. Contracted to play for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, the cricketer missed his first 7 IPL matches for the side.
According to BCCI regulations, any income that a player may miss out on as a result of an injury sustained while playing for the national side, will be compensated by the Board.
Singh was said to have approached the board soon after, but received no clarification as to the compensation he is owed.
What's next?
According to a BCCI official who spoke under anonymity to the Deccan Chronicle, Ashish Nehra, who missed five games, received his remuneration, but Singh is yet to do so.
Now, the source says it is likely Yuvraj will contact the Committee of Administrators, who is appointed by the Supreme Court of India.
The official also said it is possible Singh "does not have his insurance papers in order."
Author's Take
Given that Ashish Nehra, who sustained an injury under nearly identical circumstances - has received his compensation, it could well be an issue with Singh's paperwork. However, bureaucracy in Indian organisations at the highest level is a constant issue, and one that Singh could be facing at the moment.
There has been no official statement from either party.
