BCCI to decide West Indies tour venues on Tuesday

BCCI’s Programmes and Fixtures committee will be meeting tomorrow to decide the venues for the West Indies tour, and subsequently the venue for Sachin Tendulkar’s 200th test match.

The committee, headed by Rajiv Shukla, will finalise the schedule of the hastily-arranged series comprising two Tests and three one-day matches.

Tendulkar wishes to play his final test at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai – the place where he made his debut in first class cricket.

The Mumbai Cricket Association President Ravi Savant has already stated that the BCCI has agreed to allot Tendulkar’s farewell Test to MCA.

Reports say that the first Test is likely to be played in Kolkata, while the venues for the three subsequent ODIs will be decided tomorrow.
