The World Cup is the most prestigious tournament which the game can offer and any cricketer's dream is to win or at least play in the World Cup. There have been many legends who haven't won the World Cup and many young players yearning to get into the squad for the World Cup.

The 12th edition of the World Cup is set to begin on 30th May and many young players' and teams' dreams might come true. Having said that, let's take a look at the best possible playing XI with players who haven't played in the World Cup.

Selection Criteria: They must not have been in the squad for any ICC Cricket World Cup (ODI)

#1 - Opener - Fakhar Zaman (Pakistan)

Fakhar Zaman has been one of the players who has been responsible for Pakistan's rise in the ICC rankings as well as for their Champions Trophy in 2017. He made his debut in the tournament and shone brightly and sealed his spot as the opener of the side.

He has scored 1275 runs in just 26 innings at a whopping 57.95 including a record-breaking 210 and has picked up a wicket as well. Someone who can dominate the bowlers right from the onset, Zaman is also ranked 5th in the ICC T20I Rankings. He is certainly set to play his first World Cup this year as their main man up front.

#2 - Opener and Wicket Keeper - Jonny Bairstow (England)

Jonny Bairstow's rise in ODI cricket has been one which has been entertaining and stroke-filled. He made his debut after the 2011 World Cup but failed to make the bus for the 2015 edition despite playing well as the Three Lions opted for the more in-form Jos Buttler as the wicketkeeper.

He immediately made a comeback to the team and secured spots in all three formats of the game and is now a force to reckon with at the top of the order. He has scored 2017 runs in 54 innings at various batting positions averaging a brilliant 48.02. Bairstow is certainly sure of a World Cup debut this time around.
