Best possible World XI that could take on West IndiesĀ
West Indies are the defending champions of the T20 World Cup and they will play in a charity match against the World X1 side in the iconic Lords ground to contribute to the cause of the victims who were devastated by Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria on 31st May 2018.
The team has the best names in the world. It includes players who played in all the three formats of the game as well as T20 specialists who play in T20 Leagues across the world. A number of players have confirmed their participation but it still isn't clear as to who all would be playing in this match.
Let's have a look at the best possible World X1 if all the players were to be available for the match:
Openers: Shikhar Dhawan & Alex Hales
Alex Hales is amongst the most explosive opening batsmen in T20 cricket at present. He has been England's most important batsman and will be a great opener for this side in his home conditions.
Hales will be accompanied by his Hyderabad teammate in IPL Shikhar Dhawan. Dhawan is one of the most consistent openers in cricket at present. His performance, especially in the last year or so, has been phenomenal.
The duo will form a potent combination and will be a force to reckon with in the game.
