A billion hopes ride on Team India in T20 World Cup

This Indian team has the potential to bounce back

Well, a lot has been written about the Indian cricket team in recent times. Situation is pathetic, we all know that. We have been losing games on the trot. The Indian cricket team has hit a rough patch. Nothing is working in our favour. Indian cricket has hit rock bottom.

Can anything get worse?

Obviously not, the things which can possibly happen will only happen for the better. Won’t it be too harsh to write off the Indian cricket team? I mean come on , these are the same bunch of boys who have done the nation proud over and over again.

World T20 is the next tournament in the pipeline. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is back, he knows he has to bail the team out of this mayhem. The true Indian cricket fan has the belief or to be more precise has the confidence that the tables will turn. This is the time when we have to trust our players. The team is rebuilding and they will bounce back hard.

There is one man who has been the backbone of Indian cricket since last 8 years and that is our very own skipper. Yuvraj is back in the squad and that is a plus point. We have to take it one tournament at a time. If we turn out to be the champions in the World T20 then a billion people will regain their lost faith in our team.

Wait a second, have we really lost the faith in our boys? No, certainly not, winning and losing are part and parcel of this beautiful game. These are the same guys who  have brought laurels to our nation. Be it the world cup or the champions trophy, we have proved time and again that we are the best in the business. It is just that the time isn’t with us. But this will pass, maybe the World T20 would be the first step on what can be called as the path to redemption.

Oh yes, it’s not only about the emotional connect, it is the players who have to go out and fight for the nation’s pride and only time can’t be blamed for our under-performance in the recent months. Lack of form, some technical flaws can be attributed as the reasons. But form is temporary and class is permanent. And our players are world class, we all know it. Some technical corrections, a bit more of temperament and the right attitude and the same guys will be seen flurrying the tri-colour everywhere.

Right decisions have to made at the right time. A  perfect team combination blended with some superb effort on field will yield results. Fielding should be the epicentre of focus. It is a well known fact that a good fielding side always has an upper hand even if they lack somewhere else. It brings along an aura which upholds the mood of the whole side.

Time is less and instead of playing the blame-game, the concentration should be on playing the right game. The whole world knows that the Indian team has bounced back time and again after being written of  many a times in the past. So if we conclude its only about the form, things will resurrect and that is a certainty.

India clash with Pakistan on March 21st. That is certainly going to be a high voltage game. Half the anger and frown will disappear if Indians thrash their counterparts. So to rebuild the lost faith is not an uphill task. But we have to support our players because we belong to nation called India. We are a world class side and the whole world is aware of this fact.

It is just about the trust that we ought to have in our players. Yes, Sachin and Rahul have retired and it would be stupid to keep on sulking over this fact. The best we can do is to stand by our team in the difficult times.

Each member of team India is capable of producing magic on the field. The helicopter will roar again, Shikhar will twirl his moustache and Yuvi will be back to being awesome. After all its only about the trust. It is a time to believe , it is a time to bleed blue.
