"Bowling in T20s a big challenge" - Harbhajan Singh
When the rest of the Mumbai Indians bowlers were dispatched all over the park by Rajasthan Royals batsmen yesterday, turbunator Harbhajan Singh was the lone star shining for the side with his economic bowling and the pricey scalp of Dishant Yagnik, who was on fire during his 34-run knock. However, the veteran off-spinner, who has taken over 400 wickets for India in Tests, admitted that bowling in the shortest format of the game is a huge challenge.
In an interview with the IPL‘s official website he said, “Bowling in T20s has always been a challenge. Since we are playing in India, it is even more difficult where the pitches are batting friendly and the boundaries are quite small. But these are things that every bowler has to go through. I believe at the end of the day, you got to believe in yourself and give it your best shot when you are about to bowl under such circumstances.”
On being asked about his newly developed friendship with his old foe Ricky Ponting, he smiled and said that the team comes first. He said no matter whom he is playing with or against, they are playing for the same team and will run and hug each other whether it is Ponting or Pollard.
