After a disheartening defeat in their previous encounter against the Khulna Titans, Sylhet Sixers, buoyed by the arrival of Jason Roy would ideally want to get one over the Titans as they face them in Chittagong on Saturday.

While Sixers have done well in patches with both the bat and the ball, Khulna have underperformed with the bat regularly with only Junaid Siddiqui having stood out amongst the batsmen.

In their previous encounter, an all-round show from David Wiese ensured only the second win of the season for Khulna and will be banking on that momentum going forward in the tournament as they try and salvage pride.

Sylhet Sixers

Batting:

After a brilliant show with the bat against Rajshahi Kings, Sixers will be hoping for more of the same with Roy leading the way with the bat. Nicolas Pooran has been sensational with the bat with over 250 runs in the competition so far. More is expected of Bangladeshi duo, Liton Das and Sabbir Rahman who have blown hot and cold during the course of the competition.

Roy was very good in his first outing for Sylhet with a brisk 42 to his name and should continue to bat at number three for the Sixers. Mohammed Nawaz and Alok Kapali provide the impetus in the middle overs along with Pooran, who has been very severe on the bowlers during the death overs.

Bowling:

Sohail Tanvir and Taskin Ahmed have been impressive this tournament with Taskin picking up 16 wickets so far this season, second only to Shakib Al Hasan. Much is expected of the local talents such as Nabil Samad and Ebadat Hossain if they are to upstage the Titans.

Expected Playing XI:

Liton Das (wk), Sabbir Rahman, Jason Roy, Nicolas Pooran, Afif Hossain, Mohammed Nawaz, Sohail Tanvir, Alok Kapali (c), Ebadat Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, and Nabil Samad.

Khulna Titans

Batting:

After just their second victory of the season, Khulna do not have any reason to make ant changes in personnel. Junaid Siddiqui and Brendan Taylor were brilliant in the powerplay and the onus will once again be on both of them to get the Titans off to another rollicking start.

Mahmadullah Riyad has scored 183 runs this season but has not determined an outcome in the favor of the Titans so far. He would be one batsman raring to fire and make a decisive contribution to his side.

Bowling:

David Wiese stole the show with some clever bowling in the last match, while Taijul Islam finally showed up with a three-wicket haul. Yasir Shah has picked up a couple of wickets since coming into the side and expect him to be the key to the Titans fortunes.

Expected Playing XI:

Junaid Siddiqui, Brendan Taylor (WK), Al-Amin, Mahmadullah Riyad (C), Ariful Haque, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, David Wiese, Taijul Islam, Yasir Shah, Junaid Khan, and Subashis Roy.
