BPL 2019: Match 37, Chittagong Vikings vs Dhaka Dynamites - Preview and Predicted Playing XI
In their last home game of this year's edition of the BPL, Chittagong Vikings will be looking to end on a high by sealing a play-off place as they take on a formidable Dhaka Dynamites side, who have slightly fallen off the radar with consecutive losses to Comilla and Rangpur.
While Chittagong have felt the effects of the absence of Robert Frylinck, Dhaka have not been able to contain oppositions, despite having a great bowling line-up.
With both teams playing their penultimate game, only a win would satisfy their needs on a flat Chattogram pitch.

Batting
After a dismal performance with the bat against the Comilla Victorians, changes are to be made to rectify these mistakes. Cameron Delport hasn't been firing at all but his bowling ability could warrant his position for at least one more game. The same, though, cannot be said for Najibullah Zadran and he could be replaced with Luke Ronchi at the top of the order. This would also result in Shadman Islam dropping back to the bench. Mohammed Shahzad was able to hold his own with a gritty 33 and if it weren't for Mosaddek Saikat, the scenario would have been even more dreadful. More of the same is expected of the two.
Bowling
In the absence of Robbie Frylinck, Khaled Ahmed and Abu Jayed were pretty good with Nayeem also proving to be tough to put away. Against a very good batting side in Dhaka, the aforementioned should come up with the goods if they are to win their final home game.
Expected Playing XI
Luke Ronchi, Mohammed Shahzad (WK), Yasir Ali, Mushfiqur Rahim (C), Cameron Delport, Mosaddek Hossain, Sikander Raza, Nayeem Islam, Robiul Haque, Abu Jayed and Khaled Ahmed
Dhaka Dynamites
Batting:
Hazratullah Zazai has tailed off after two fifties at the start of the tournament which could see a return for Andrew Birch. This could, in turn, see the return of Mizanur Rahman for this crucial match with a play-off place at stake for them. Shakib Al Hasan and Rony Talukdar have been quite consistent while Andre Russell has been providing them with the big hits towards the end. Nurul Hasan could be given an opportunity higher up the order with the likes of Pollard and Russell held back for the death.
Bowling
Andre Russell and Sunil Narine haven't performed at their best with the ball with Dhaka struggling to pick wickets at crucial junctures. Rubel Hossain and Shakib need to bring their A-Game if they are to stage another win over the Vikings. Andrew Birch's inclusion is critical with Russell and Rubel not able to consistently pick wickets at the start and in the death overs.
Expected Playing XI
Sunil Narine, Rony Talukdar, Mizanur Rahman, Shakib Al Hasan (C), Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard, Shuvagata Hom, Nurul Hasan(WK), Andrew Birch, Rubel Hossain and Shahadat Hossain.
