Brendon McCullum becomes first New Zealand batsman to score a triple century in Tests
Brendon McCullum became the first player to score 300 runs in an innings in a Test match for New Zealand.
Brendon McCullum scored 302 runs in the second test between India and New Zealand at Wellington. This was the 28th occasion a triple century was scored in Test cricket. But two deliveries later, he edged a back of a length delivery from Zaheer to Dhoni. He got a standing ovation from everyone present as he left the field.
Previous highest individual score by a New Zealand cricketer was 299 by Martin Crowe against Sri Lanka at Wellington.
