Brijesh Patel to be manager for India at World T20

As a positive development, former Test player and Karnataka State Cricket Association Secretary Brijesh Patel has been chosen as the manager of the Indian cricket team for the Twenty20 World Cup that would be held in Bangladesh from March 16 to April 6.

Brijesh Patel has previously worked as the chairman of national selection committee for the Indian national team. However owing to a heart ailment, he had to resign from that post.

Patel played in 21 Test matches from the period of 1974 to 1977. He was able to sustain a batting average of 29.45 and his highest test score was 115 not out.

Though he didn’t have a very sparkling career, still he managed to score 37 hundreds and over 11,000 runs in first-class cricket.
Hopefully, Brijesh Patel who carries an image of a very sincere, committed and a cool cricketer will definitely contribute for the advancement of Team India.
