CA suspend Matthew Wade for one match

Matthew Wade

Melbourne, Oct 17 (IANS) Cricket Australia (CA) Friday said that Victorian Bushrangers captain Matthew Wade has been found guilty of breaching the CA Code of Behaviour following his team's Matador One-Day Cup match loss to Queensland at North Sydney Oval on Tuesday.

Wade has accepted the penalty of a one match suspension and a fine of 50 percent of his match fee. This means Wade will be unavailable for Victoria's Matador One-Day Cup match against New South Wales at Blacktown International Sports Park Friday, said a CA release.

Wade was reported by Cricket Victoria CEO Tony Dodemaide for breaching Article 2.1.2 - Abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a match.

After being dismissed, Wade went into the change room and threw a water bottle which broke a window.

Wade has accepted to cover costs to repair the damage caused to the change room.
