Celebrities wish Indian batting legend Virender Sehwag on his 38th birthday
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag is turning 38 today and he has been the centre of attraction among his teammates, celebrities and the Indian cricket fraternity. Sehwag has given the Indian cricket fans a lot of moments to cherish.
His record 309 against Pakistan at Multan, 319 against South Africa in Chennai, 219 against West Indies at Indore etc. are some of the moments that come our mind when we talk about Sehwag’s heroics in the International arena. What made him the best among the rest is the strike-rate at which he batted throughout his career.
In an International career that spanned over 15 years, Sehwag has etched his name in the history of Indian cricket as he ended his career as the only Indian to score two Test triple centuries. In the 104 Test matches he played for India, Sehwag has scored 8586 runs at an average of just below 50 and a sensational strike-rate of 83. His numbers are equally good in the limited overs format as he scored 8273 runs from 251 matches at an average of 35.05 with a devastating strike-rate of 104.33.
After his playing days, Sehwag served as a mentor for Kings XI Punjab before taking up the role of commentator. He redefined the art of wishing the fans on Twitter as he used a unique way of wishing his teammates and friends on Twitter. Here is how they gave it back to Sehwag:
