Celkon Mobile named title sponsors for India-Zimbabwe ODI series

The Celkon Mobile Cup between India and Zimbabwe will consist of 5 ODI matches starting from July 24 and will end on August 3

The India-Zimbabwe ODI series which will be commencing from Wednesday, 24th of July will be sponsored by India’s sixth largest mobile handsets manufacturing company Celkon Mobiles.

The 5 match ODI series, which will begin from tomorrow, between India and hosts Zimbabwe will apparently be titled as Celkon Mobile Cup and will be played in Harare and Bulawayo between July 24 and august 3. The matches will be telecast live on Ten Cricket, Ten Sports and Ten HD, sources said.

The Indian team led by skipper MS Dhoni brought home the Champions Trophy before vanquishing West Indies and Sri Lanka in the recently concluded tri-series.

Now, a young Indian squad under the able captaincy of Virat Kohli look to continue their winning streak against the African nation which once had class players like Alistair Campbell, Andy Flower, Grant Flower and Heath Streak. The Zimbabwean team will be led by Brendan Taylor and this will be the first ever full series for India with Virat Kohli as Captain.

As a brand we have thus taken the decision to be the title sponsor of the India-Zimbabwe ODI series.

The mobile manufacturing company, which has its headquarters in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh were also the sponsors of the Celkon tri-nations cup which took place in the Caribbean recently.
