Chepauk Super Gillies launch their challenge at star-studded event in Chennai

The Chepauk Super Gillies launched their team at the ITC Grand Chola, Chennai on Sunday ahead of the India Cements TN Premier League 2016. Former India fast bowler Zaheer Khan and former captain Mohammad Azharuddin graced the event along with Irfan Pathan and Ashish Nehra. The cricketers were not the only star attractions as numerous celebrities from the film world also attended the function.

The star-studded list included Prabhu, Vikram Prabhu, Hansika Motwani, Lakshmi Rai, Aishwarya Rajesh, Khushboo, Samantha, Nasser, Janani Iyer and Jeyam Ravi. Samantha handed the Chepauk jersey to the guests. Pattaiya Kalappu, the anthem, was also launched and it was introduced in some style with a dance performance on show. The Chepauk players then walked the ramp with the jerseys on, in the company of models.

The owner of the team, Sivanthi Adithyan, then joined the players on stage to pass his good wishes to them ahead of the inaugural India Cements TN Premier League.
