Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo to promote TNPL

Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo are pure entertainers

The first edition of the TNPL is off to a flier with the 8 teams playing high quality cricket and battling it out to win. The TNPL is telecast on the STAR Network and has a number of stars including Ravichandran Ashwin, Murali Vijay, Dinesh Karthik, Murugan Ashwin and Abhinav Mukund lining up for the various teams.

The action is complimented by a stellar commentary crew with the likes of Brett Lee, Matthew Hayden, Scott Styris, Dean Jones and Laxman Sivaramakrishnan sharing their inputs, making for terrific viewing on the television with the crowds adding to the flavour of the league.

In a major coup for the organisers, it was announced yesterday that West Indian ace cricketers Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo would be arriving in Chennai to promote the league.

What role they would play is still to be seen, but their mere association with the league elevates its reputation further.

Dwayne Bravo was part of the Chennai Super Kings franchise from 2011 – 2015 and became an integral member of the squad. Not only did he enthrall the crowds with his performance on the field, his antics on the pitch, like his dancing, endeared him to the masses. He even dabbled with Kollywood, appearing in a song. He was chuffed to be going back to Chennai.

Chris Gayle plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and is one of the most popular cricketers on the planet. He too, like Bravo, has a flair for the flamboyant, quite often breaking into a dance to entertain the crowds.

Dean Jones, who has been part of the TNPL from the start, could not contain his excitement.
