Chris Gayle to appear on Kapil Sharma's comedy show

Chris Gayle will appear on The Kapil Sharma Show

West Indies cricketer and Royal Challengers Bangalore star Chris Gayle is set to be the next star to appear on the popular comedian Kapil Sharma’s show. The Indian comedian and actor, who hosts “The Kapil Sharma Show,” posted a picture of himself with the IPL star on the micro-blogging site, confirming that the latter will be appearing on the show, which airs on the Colors channel.

The highly popular show has seen the appearance of other sports stars like Wasim Akram, Dwayne Bravo, Sania Mirza and Saina Nehwal. Now, Gayle looks set to appear on the show and it could be a laugh riot, given the Jamaican’s penchant for fun and his maverick type personality. The show will be even better with ex-cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu present in the cast as well.

Entertainment and the IPL go hand-in-hand in India and stars from franchises all across are popular throughout the country. West Indian cricketers, particularly the likes of Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo and Darren Sammy, are adored by fans and celebrated wherever they go.

Gayle, however, will be the second West Indian cricketer to appear on the show after his teammate Bravo, whose episode will be telecast tomorrow. Bravo, on the show, spoke about how he loves India, Bollywood and Shah Rukh Khan.

Speaking to the Times of India, Bravo said, "I don't know. I'm still waiting for the opportunity. So let's see... Another single is happening soon. So, hopefully one day, I will get the opportunity to act and sing in a Bollywood film.” Gayle, on the other hand, is known to be a hardcore party person, who loves dancing and having fun, something that can be gauged from his social media activities.

IPL missing from Gayle cabinet

Chris Gayle, who has never won the IPL, could have another shot at the trophy with the Royal Challengers Bangalore looking set to make it to the playoffs after a phoenix-like comeback in this season, shooting up from near-bottom to third place.

RCB currently stand at 14 points from 13 games with one match remaining, which they will be playing against Delhi Daredevils on May 22nd. The IPL is nearing its business end and things are hotting up with six teams in the mix for a playoff place.
