County cricket: Middlesex rout Durham inside three days
Eoin Morgan hit an unbeaten 39 as Middlesex completed a low-scoring County Championship victory over Durham.
Hosts Middlesex needed just 44 runs to win with eight wickets to spare at the start of the day. But, they didn’t start brightly, losing Adam Voges in the third over.
Despite the early worry, Eoin Morgan and Neil Dexter kept their heads and pushed Middlesex towards the required total. A tiny hiccup occurred when skipper Neil Dexter fell for 25 with just a solitary run required.
Early on in the match during Middlesex’s first innings, Graham Onions secured attention-grabbing figures of 7-62.
All four innings during the match were less than 200 as this was certainly a match for the bowlers.
The win for Middlesex takes them above Durham and up into third place.
