Nic Maddinson will be key for Guyana Amazon Warriors

Team News: 

The Barbados Tridents were put up against the Guyana Amazon Warriors in their previous match. The Barbados Tridents were put into bat first by the Amazon Warriors. The Tridents surprised a lot of people as David Wiese came to bat at the No.3 position and did a great job, scoring 40 runs in 31 deliveries and supporting Shoaib Malik really well throughout the innings. The Tridents finished at 142 for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs.

Openers, Ahmed Shehzad and Kyle Hope. could not get going against the Warriors in their previous match, gathering only 19 runs together. Shehzad has now appeared in 3 innings for the Tridents this season and needs to quickly find his touch with the bat. Shoaib Malik played a good knock of 55 in the previous match for the Tridents and showed that he can provide the stability in the batting department in the absence of AB de Villiers. Wicket-keeper Nicholas Pooran could play an important role against the Warriors. 

All-rounders: 

Skipper Kieron Pollard bowled well in his previous match, conceding 24 runs in 3 overs and picking up the wicket of Jason Mohammed as well. David Wiese was the surprise package as he was sent into bat at the No.3 position and scored 40 runs in 31 deliveries, but ended up being expensive while bowling for the Tridents.

Chris Barnwell could come in handy with his batting and bowling abilities. Barnwell picked up the wicket of David Wiese in the previous match, conceding 30 runs in 3 overs. Smith could also be utilized as an additional bowler against the Tridents.
