Probable Playing XI:

Jamaica Tallawahs:

Batsmen:

Skipper, Chris Gayle has had a good season so far for the Tallawahs, scoring 252 runs in 7 innings including a century and a fifty. Though Gayle got out on a 9-ball duck, he will be expected to get back into the groove and give a strong performance against the Tridents.

No.3 batsman, Kumar Sangakkara has had an average season so far by his standards, gathering 168 runs in 7 innings with only a single fifty to his name. Rovman Powell played an important knock against the Knight Riders and will be hoping to continue his good form for the Tallawahs for the remainder of this season.

With Russell coming in at the lower middle-order, the Tallawahs have a strong batting line-up and will look to make the most of it.

All-rounders:

Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has been an asset for the Tallawahs in the bowling department, picking up 7 wickets in 6 games at a brilliant economy rate of 4.6 runs per over. Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan could be utilised in the spin department and keep things tight in the mid overs.

Russell picked up 4 wickets in his 4 overs while conceding just 23 runs against the Knight Riders in the previous game.

Bowlers:

South African fast bowler Dale Steyn has enjoyed himself in this season of CPL, picking up 8 wickets in 7 games and at an economy rate of under 7 runs per over. He could be the key bowler against the Tridents.

Probable XI: Chadwick Walton, Chris Gayle (Captain), Kumar Sangakkara (Wicket-keeper), Rovman Powell, Shakib Al Hasan, Andre Russell, Imad Wasim, Timroy Allen, Dale Steyn, Garey Mathurin, Kesrick Williams.

Barbados Tridents:

Batsmen:

Mr. 360 AB de Villiers has been the leading run-scorer for the Tridents with 234 runs in 6 matches including 2 fifties for this season. With a strong batting line-up as the Tallawahs, de Villiers will need to be at the top of his game to make sure the Tridents reach a big score.

Pakistan middle-order batsman Shoaib Malik has been opening for the Tridents and has scored 160 runs in 6 matches with a high score of 54. Nicholas Pooran played a great innings against the Zouks in the previous game and the Tridents will want him to perform similarly against the Tallawahs.

All-rounders:

South African all-rounder Robin Peterson can provide some support to the lower middle-order and also use his left-arm spin to good use for the Tridents. Malik has also been deployed for his off-spin and has also picked up 4 wickets in this season.

Bowlers:

Left-arm fast bowler, Wayne Parnell picked up a couple of wickets for the Tridents along with Ravi Rampaul and they have been doing a great job this season. Parnell has picked up 7 wickets while Rampaul has picked up 9 wickets this season.

Probable XI: Kyle Hope, Shoaib Malik, AB de Villiers, Nicholas Pooran (Wicket-keeper), Kieron Pollard (Captain), Wayne Parnell, Robin Peterson, Navin Stewart, Raymon Reifer, Imran Khan, Ravi Rampaul.
