The Jamaica Tallawahs beat the Trinbago Knight Riders by 19 runs to book a spot in the CPL 2016 Final against the Guyana Amazon Warriors. The Tallawahs registered a total of 195 for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs with Andre Russell scoring a powerful century in 44 deliveries and also picking up a couple of wickets while bowling against the Knight Riders.
The game was reduced to 12 overs and with a revised target of 130, all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan picked up 3 wickets as the Knight Riders were restricted to 110 in 12 overs.
The Guyana Amazon Warriors had managed to beat the Tallawahs in the Qualifier 1 by 4 wickets. After being put into bat by the Warriors, the Tallawahs could only manage a total of 146 in their 20 overs as skipper Chris Gayle top-scored with 33 runs in 36 deliveries. Chris Lynn top-scored for the Warriors with 49 as they achieved the target with 2 balls to spare.

Chris Gayle has gotten a couple of starts in the previous two matches for the Tallawahs and could cut loose against the Warriors in the Final of the Caribbean Premier League 2016. Gayle has scored 371 runs so far in 12 matches at a strike-rate of 150. Kumar Sangakkara will be a key player against the Warriors, bringing his wealth of experience.
Rovman Powell could not make an impact in the previous match and will need to provide some stability in the middle-order. Andre Russell scored a century in the previous game against the Knight Riders and has sent out a warning signal to the Warriors.
