Probable Playing XI:
Jamaica Tallawahs:
Batsmen:
Skipper Chris Gayle is currently the leading run-scorer for the Tallawahs, scoring 260 runs in 8 innings at a strike-rate of 159. Along with Chadwick Walton at the top of the order, the Tallawahs will hope for a good opening start that could set the game up for the middle order batsmen to come in and finish well towards the end of the innings.
After a series of starts, Kumar Sangakkara scored his second fifty against the Tridents in the previous game and he is starting to look in good touch with the bat. Rovman Powell played a great hand for the Tallawahs in the previous match, scoring 34 runs in 14 deliveries that included 4 sixes and a boundary.
All-rounders:
The Tallawahs have a number of all-rounders at their disposal. Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been a reliable all-rounder. The 29-year-old has scored 130 runs in 8 innings and has picked up 6 wickets with the ball. Andre Russell can be explosive with the bat and Pakistani all-rounder Imad Wasim has been bowling extremely well for the Tallawahs this season, picking up 7 wickets in 7 games.
Bowlers:
Kesrick Williams has picked up 9 wickets in 8 matches and will be expected to do well against the Zouks. Russell has been impressive with the ball this season and has picked up 7 wickets in 6 matches for the Tallawahs.
Probable XI: Chris Gayle (Captain), Chadwick Walton, Kumar Sangakkara (Wicket-keeper), Rovman Powell, Andre Russell, Shakib Al Hasan, Imad Wasim, Timroy Allen, Garey Mathurin, Kesrick Williams, Dane Paterson.
St Lucia Zouks:
Batsmen:
Opener Johnson Charles has been in top form for the Zouks, scoring 287 runs in 8 innings at a strike-rate of 134. Andre Fletcher has not exactly been in his best form and will have to improve in the coming games. Middle-order batsman Michael Hussey managed only 12 runs in the previous match and has scored 157 runs in 8 games at a strike-rate of 109. The inclusion of Grant Elliot in the middle-order will greatly boost the batting department.
All-rounders:
Like the Tallawahs, the Zouks too, have a number of all-rounders at their disposal. Shane Watson is currently the leading run-scorer and the leading wicket-taker for the Zouks this season and will be expected to play a key role against the Tallawahs. Skipper Darren Sammy has been giving some useful batting performances and has been picking wickets regularly for the Zouks.
Bowlers:
Kyle Mayers bowled economically in the previous game, conceding just 15 runs in 3 overs with a wicket to his name. Delorn Johnson gave another strong performance for the Zouks, conceding 22 runs in his quota of 4 overs, picking up 3 wickets in the process.
Probable XI: Johnson Charles, Andre Fletcher (Wicket-keeper), Shane Watson, Michael Hussey, Grant Elliot, Darren Sammy (Captain), Kyle Mayers, Delorn Johnson, Shane Shillingford, Keddy Lesporis, Jerome Taylor.
Prediction: The Tallawahs have been consistent in their performances and will start as favorites against the Zouks.
