Probable Playing XI:
St Kitts and Nevis Patriots:
Opener Lendl Simmons has had a mediocre season at best for the Patriots, scoring 144 runs in 8 innings at a strike-rate of 100. Fellow opener Evin Lewis has managed 167 runs in 7 innings and has done slightly better than Simmons.
It will be up to these players to give the Patriots a solid start at the top of the order. Skipper Faf du Plessis seems to be getting used to the West Indian pitches and the Patriots will hope that he does well against the Knight Riders.
Wicket-keeper Devon Thomas had a great start to this season but has run into a slump. Thomas has proved that he can strike the ball a long way and could play a key role for the Patriots against the Knight Riders.
All-rounders:
All-rounder, Jonathan Carter is currently the leading run-scorer for the Patriots this season, scoring 185 runs in 8 innings and has also picked up a couple wickets. JJ Smuts could also play a role against the Knight Riders in the batting and the bowling department.
Bowlers:
Seamer Krishmar Santokie has picked up 7 wickets in 7 games for the Patriots this season and will be expected to continue his good form against the Knight Riders. Spinner Samuel Badree bowled economically in the previous game and has also picked up 6 wickets in 7 games this season.
Probable XI: Lendl Simmons, Evin Lewis, JJ Smuts, Faf du Plessis (Captain), Devon Thomas (Wicket-keeper), Jonathan Carter, Brad Hodge, Krishmar Santokie, Sheldon Cottrell, Alzarri Joseph, Samuel Badree.
Trinbago Knight Riders:
New Zealand batsman Colin Munro was, unfortunately, run-out in the previous game against the Zouks, scoring 21 runs in 16 deliveries and has scored 280 runs in 8 matches for the Knight Riders. Umar Akmal scored his first fifty for the Knight Riders in this season and has scored 138 runs in 8 innings so far.
Brendon McCullum continued his poor run of form and managed only 3 runs in the previous game for the Knight Riders.
All-rounders:
Skipper Dwayne Bravo has come good for the Knight Riders, scoring 160 runs in 8 innings at a strike-rate of 146 and is currently the leading wicket-taker for the Knight Riders with 14 wickets. Kevon Cooper has also done a reasonable job, picking up 8 wickets in 8 games.
Bowlers:
Ronsford Beaton bowled well for the Knight Riders in the previous game, conceding 25 runs in 4 overs and also picking up a wicket against the Zouks. Sunil Narine will be the key bowler against the Patriots and has picked up 9 wickets in 8 games for the Knight Riders this season.
Probable XI: William Perkins, Brendon McCullum, Colin Munro, Denesh Ramdin (Wicket-keeper), Umar Akmal, Dwayne Bravo (Captain), Anton Devcich, Sunil Narine, Kevon Cooper, Nikita Miller, Ronsford Beaton.
Prediction: The Knight Riders look like a balanced team and will start as favorites against the Patriots.
