The Trinbago Knight Riders beat the St Lucia Zouks in the Eliminator by 5 wickets. The Zouks were put into bat first and managed 164 runs in their 20 overs with wicket-keeper Andre Fletcher top-scoring with 41 runs in 43 deliveries. Ronsford Beaton was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3 for 23 in 4 overs. Brendon McCullum steered the Knight Riders to a victory with a patient 49 in 41 deliveries and bagged the Man of the Match award as well.
The Jamaica Tallawahs lost in the Qualifer 1 to the Guyana Amazon Warriors by 4 wickets. The Tallawahs have lost their previous 3 matches and will be looking to get back on the winning side against the Knight Riders and book a spot in the Final against the Warriors.

Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal was elevated to the opening spot and did a good job, scoring 30 runs in 15 deliveries that included 5 boundaries and a six. Umar Akmal could open again for the Knight Riders alongside Hashim Amla. New Zealand batsman Colin Munro got off to an aggressive start but could not carry on against the St Lucia Zouks.
Brendon McCullum came to the rescue for the Knight Riders with his unbeaten 49 and provided the right composure that was required while chasing a tricky target of 165. Denesh Ramdin provided some support to McCullum in the chase and could make an impact against the Tallawahs.
