Cricket World Cup 2019: Injury concerns plague Bangladesh as they prepare ahead of the world cup meeting with South Africa
Bangladesh suffered a minor blow when their opening batsman Tamim Iqbal had to leave the field following a blow on his arm in the nets session at The Oval in London on Friday.
Tamim Iqbal had also missed the last World Cup warm-up match of Bangladesh against India and is now expected to miss the first match against South Africa on Sunday.
Some of the other key players like captain Mashrafe Mortaza, all-rounder Mahmadullah Riaz and Mohammed Saifuddin also sat out the training session on Friday.
Bangladesh won a tri-nation tournament in Ireland, beating the West Indies and hosts Ireland, earlier in May and have had an ideal preparation for the World Cup.
