The 38th fixture of the ongoing 2019 World Cup at Edgbaston is a crucial one for England. The hosts will battle it out against an unbeaten Indian team and the game will be vital for England's chances of making it to the semi-finals.

A win against a confident Indian team will get the hosts a step closer to the berth in the semis finals. A loss may end England's best chance of winning their maiden World Cup trophy. However, one important fact to note is that England last beat India in a World Cup game in 1992.

Over the years, India and England have battled it out against each other on seven occasions. Both teams have won three matches while on one occasion, the game ended in a draw. The game on 30th June 2019 at Edgbaston is one of the most anticipated games of this edition of the World Cup and is expected to be an exciting contest.

In light of the upcoming clas, here is a look at the previous seven World Cup encounters between India and England.
