CWC'19: Spectacular opening party in London kicks off the 2019 Cricket World Cup
Prior to the ceremony, the captains of all 10 participating nations met Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.
A round of two-a-side street cricket was played at the party before the tournament's trophy was presented.
Hosts England, whose 50-over side are among the favourites, won the event named the 60-second challenge.
The party had more a feel of a street festival than a conventional launch, where the official World Cup song titled "Stand By" sung by LORYN which also featured Rudimental, was played.
At the end, Australia's World Cup winning former captain Michael Clarke and former English spinner Graeme Swann unveiled the World Cup trophy to the crowd, which formally marked the start of the tournament
