IPL 2014: Daniel Vettori and Yuvraj Singh confident of RCB comeback
Having faced three back-to-back losses, the disappointed Royal Challengers Bangalore will be looking to put things in place. With the IPL action shifting to India, things may work in RCB’s favour. Coach Daniel Vettori and RCB’s 14 crore pick, Yuvraj Singh express their confidence in the team by stating that RCB can make a comeback in this tournament.
With RCB ready to take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday at their homeground Chinnaswamy Stadium, performances can improve for the RCB.
“Everyone plays well in their home conditions but RCB?has got a great record in Bangalore. So we will lean on that heavily in the next few days.” said Vettori.
On being asked about the team’s struggles and performances in the past, the Kiwi bowler said, “I think it’s just the couple of games that we haven’t seen the job through. Especially against Kolkata Knight Riders.”
“The guys have spoken about that and that there is need to finish the job off. Our bowling and fielding has been exceptional and the batting has been really good in spots but haven’t finished the job a couple of times,” he added.
On the other hand, Yuvraj Singh, who has faced much criticism lately believes in the miraculous nature of the game of cricket.
“This is the time when teams leading would like to consolidate, teams like ours’ would like to recover the lost ground and sides like Mumbai Indians would like to change their fortunes. As far as my experience says, everything is possible in this game,” he said.
“In this format, you lose and win your battles in a very short span and unlike Test cricket or One-Day cricket, you don’t have many chances to make a comeback,” he added.
However, RCB fans would like to see their team regain the winning momentum that they had started the tournament with.
