Darren Lehmann gets trolled for looking for EPL tickets after Ashes loss
Australian coach Darren Lehmann has come under fire – not for Australia’s loss to England, but for turning to Twitter in search of tickets to a weekend English Premier League game between Stoke City and Liverpool, around 80 kilometres west from Nottingham where the Aussies were humiliated.
The Australian dressing room is a dark and gloomy place right now, having surrendered the 4th Test in little more than three days to the hosts, and the Ashes urn as a result. Captain Michael Clarke has announced his retirement, the management’s decisions to do away with Brad Haddin and to bring in Shaun Marsh have not met with approval from fans.
Even if Lehmann thought an EPL match would be the perfect distraction for him, he is sure to have regrets now about letting the social media know about his intentions.
Would like to go to Stoke v Liverpool with a couple of people anyone help? @stokecity or @LFC can you please retweet .

Lehmann had even expected that the two EPL clubs could come to his help, but got a rude shock from the responses that his request elicited.
Nobody came forward with help, with most suggesting that the coach should have more important things to worry about than a football game, given the present state of things. Lehmann has now lost two out of three Ashes series in charge.
"Probably not the best timing to be sending out a tweet like that, maybe take the team with u to learn their defensive game," one respondent with the Twitter handle Ben McGrath suggested.
Another Indian user said:
@darren_lehmann I've also got some Trent Bridge Day 5 tickets to get off my hands if anyone wants :-)

Mightily discouraged and refusing to see the humour, Lehmann later sent out this tweet:
Thanks so much for the abuse was asking a question that people might help . Don't bother now! Thanks again people for being so abusive.

Candice Warner, wife of batsman David Warner shared her sympathies with Lehmann, the only support offered to the under-fire Boof:
@darren_lehmann why are people so unkind?!

England claimed the last three Australia wickets for 12 runs to win the fourth Test by a crushing innings and 78 runs and regain the Ashes at Trent Bridge on Saturday.
