David Miller looks up to Virender Sehwag for inspiration

Powerful left-hand batsman David Miller, who considers his Kings 11 Punjab team mate Virender Sehwag as his role model, seeks to absorb what the South African refers to as “courage of conviction” from the out-of-favour Indian opening batsman. With 3 wins in 3 matches, there seems to be a very good vibe around Punjab dressing room, with players enjoying each other’s presence.

“I am doing it gradually. He (Sehwag) has been one of my heroes and there’s so much one can learn from him. One thing I would really like to imbibe from him is his courage of conviction,” Miller told IPL’s official website.

“Over the years, he has been so consistent with the way he approaches his game and prepares for it. He has such strong self-belief that it doesn’t matter what anyone says about his game. He has achieved greatness on his own terms,” the 24-year-old added.

There is no denying that IPL is a great platform for interaction of players from across the world. The league proves to be a fine learning experience for every player, young or old.

It is always nice to see some bonding happen between players from different countries during the season of IPL.
