Quinton de Kock dropped from the South African side facing New Zealand, Van Wyk recalled

Proteas

The South African squad has been announced for the next two series against the New Zealand, and notably, Quinton de Kock has been shown the door. In place of De Kock the all-rounder David Wiese has been selected in the squad for the ODI series, and he may get a chance to make his debut.

De Kock was in the spot for quite some time due to his poor form. He has been asked to regain his touch in the tri-series involving the ‘A’ sides of Australia, South Africa and India.

AB de Villiers will lead the side, coming back from his paternity leave. JP Duminy and Morne Morkel will not be available for the ODIs but will join the squad in the T20 series. Imran Tahir has been selected only for ODI matches and will be replaced by Eddie Leie for the T20 series.

Morne van Wyk has also been recalled for the series. According to the selectors, Van Wyk will lend experience to the side.
