Delhi Daredevils (DD): Buy IPL 2016 Tickets
IPL 2016 kicked-off on 9 April 2016. Delhi Daredevils started IPL 9 with a loss. To find Delhi’s success, one has to go back to 2008 and 2009; Delhi finished those tournaments as semi-finalists. Other than those feathers in the cap, IPL has been largely cruel to Delhi. Despite losing their opening game, DD never let their head down and came back to win the following games. With Rahul Dravid as their mentor, Delhi Daredevils are a side that is much more dangerous. Rahul Dravid may have finally found the winning formula for Delhi. DD might even upset a few in IPL 9.
Delhi Daredevils will play their home games in Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi. DD will play their next home game on 27 April 2016 against Gujarat Lions. DD will play their home games at Feroz Shah Kotla and at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, Naya Raipur. Feroz Shah Kotla is the second oldest functioning stadium in India after Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Lots of history here.
With a capacity of 45,000, it is a fantastic place to enjoy a good game of cricket. Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium has a capacity of over 50,000 and is one of the largest cricket stadiums in India. Expect a splendid atmosphere inside this relatively new stadium too.
Delhi Daredevils had the largest purse during the auction and invested heavily on young talent. They have retained a few experienced players such as Duminy, de Kock, Imran Tahir, Amit Mishra, and Zaheer Khan to bring in balance to the squad. Zaheer Kahn will captain the side this year. Quinton de Kock will be crucial upfront. He had a fantastic game against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
He became the first player to score a century in IPL 2016. Quinton de Kock will want his superb run to continue for the rest of the season. Shreyas Iyer, Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant are some of the best young batsmen in the tournament. To finish games off, they will rely on J.P. Duminy and Carlos Braithwaite.
Zaheer Khan will be the tip of the sword in the bowling department. Nathan Coulter-Nile and Mohammed Shami might turn out to be match winners. South African all-rounder Chris Morris will also come in handy.
Feroz Shah Kotla has favoured spinners in the past. Amit Mishra and Imran Tahir will likely take charge and pick up some early wickets in their home games at Delhi.
With the current squad, a playoff spot is always up for grabs for Delhi Daredevils.
