Delhi Daredevils team takes train to work
With the odd-even policy all set to go into the second round of its experiment, the Delhi Daredevils team has set a perfect example of how to help reduce the pollution from vehicles by taking the metro train to work. The policy was met with mixed reactions as there were people who would have felt uncomfortable with being forced to use public transportation.
Now, following what the Daredevils side has done, it should convince a few of the people who previously would not have wanted to use public transportation. The team, including the likes of mentor, Rahul Dravid and captain, Zaheer Khan travelled from their team hotel to the Feroz Shah Kotla.
With the team staying on the outskirts of the city, it takes at least an hour by bus to reach the stadium for the Daredevils. In order to avoid this, the team boards a train at Aerocity Station and alight at Shivaji Stadium. This takes only 15 minutes to travel. A team bus then takes the squad to the stadium, and this journey only takes another 15 minutes.
The Daredevils squad have been taking the metro to the stadium on all days except match days. This gesture from the Delhi Daredevils could help in proving as a source of inspiration to the people of Delhi in helping bring down the traffic and the pollution caused.
