Denesh Ramdin sanctioned by WICB over his Twitter rant
Shunned West Indian wicket-keeper Denesh Ramdin is in for some for trouble as the West Indies Cricket Board has sanctioned him for putting up tweets against the board and chairman of selectors. Ramdin, in a series of tweets, had expressed his displeasure at being left out of the Test team.
What a rainy day,lil heads up for shotta 80 fans wouldn't be playin in test series vs https://t.co/ARBmbMneQx chairman says my avg isn't Gud

The WICB today came out and said that these actions by Ramdin, who is also a former captain had been in ‘contravention of their policy’ and thus they had moved to penalise the player. The release, however, did not state the nature of the sanction.
Last 2 innings over 60 vs Australia down under but not good to play anymore.

“This was in breach of the WICB policy and the terms of his retainer contract. As a consequence, Ramdin has since been sanctioned,” read the WICB statement.
A visibly upset Ramdin was on a tirade against the newly appointed chairman of selectors, Courtney Browne. He went on criticising Browne for claiming his batting average wasn't good enough.
"Man who's telling my average is bad with 25.87 but his is 16 telling me about batting and has never scored international hundred shameless," he wrote earlier in his twitter handle.
The Trinidad and Tobago man has played 74 Tests for West Indies in which he has scored 2,898 runs at an average of 25.87. He was also the captain of the team before being replaced by a young Jason Holder in September 2015.
This is not the first time, Ramdin has taken on former players on a public platform. Back in 2012, he pulled out a note after scoring a century at Edgbaston which read, "Yeh Viv Talk Na". This was a riposte to Vivian Richards claiming that Ramdin was not good enough to be in the team. After a lot of flak, the wicket-keeper batsman did apologise.
Earlier today, West Indies announced a 12-man squad to face India in the four-Test series starting in Antigua on July 21. While, Ramdin has been dropped uncapped batsman Roston Chase is picked in his place. Jason Holder will lead the side.
